Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?Ī: Depends on the project, but generally I like to ask for references, song concepts/themes and get a general feel of what they are trying to achieve. There's an incredible amount of time, love and energy that goes into making any body of work into something beautiful and timeless. It may come naturally, but it's far from easy. I think that was a really special moment for me because I realized how powerful music is and how it can mean different things to different people. It ended up landing on Pitbull's album "El Mariel" and he used it to memorialize the death of his father and best friend. It was a sad song I wrote about my friend who was queer and in love with a woman, but was hiding it from her family and friends. What was your role?Ī: I wrote an acoustic ballad when I was in college called "Raindrops". Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. No matter where you lay on the spectrum of musical experience, trust your own intuition when selecting a provider.
